Design Your Own T-Shirt – Custom Photo & Text T-Shirt Maker

Design your own t-shirt from scratch, right here on the page. This is our free-form custom t-shirt maker: a blank heavyweight tee and a live designer where you add your own photos and your own words, then drag, resize, tilt and layer them anywhere on the front of the shirt. There is no template and no fixed slots. Whatever you leave on the preview is exactly what we print.

How to make your custom t-shirt

1. Pick your colour and size – Black, White, Azalea pink or Light Blue, S to 3XL.
2. Tap “+ Add photo” to upload a picture straight from your phone or computer. Hit “Remove background” to cut the subject out cleanly, or leave it as a full photo.
3. Tap “+ Add text”, type your line and choose one of 12 fonts and 10 ink colours.
4. Drag anything anywhere. Use the corner handles to resize, the Tilt slider to angle it, and Forward / Back to stack photos and text on top of each other. Up to 8 photos and 8 blocks of text per shirt.
5. Check the preview, then add to cart. Every shirt is printed to order, so what you see on the shirt is what turns up.

What you can put on it

Anything you own a photo of. Stag do and hen do shirts with the groom’s face on, a personalised birthday tee, your dog’s face and name, a holiday group photo with the year underneath, a “World’s Best Grandad” shirt with an actual photo of Grandad, an inside joke nobody else gets, a one-off band tee for a mate. If you can picture it on a shirt, you can build it.

• One-tap background remover – turns any snapshot into a clean cut-out.
• 12 fonts – Anton, Bebas Neue, Archivo Black, Bangers, Permanent Marker, Pacifico, Lobster, Abril Fatface, Special Elite, Pirata One, Creepster and Graduate.
• Full control – move, resize, tilt, duplicate, layer and delete every element.
• Big print area – 15" × 18" (38 × 46 cm) large front print, so a photo can go chest to hem if you want it to.
• Works on your phone – the designer is built for thumbs, though a bigger screen makes fiddly layouts easier.

The shirt

Printed on the same heavyweight 100% cotton unisex tee as every other design in the shop (Gildan 5000), with a ribbed crew neck and a classic fit that runs true to size. Go one size up if you prefer it oversized. Printed to order in the UK and shipped worldwide.

Good to know

• Made to order, so no returns or design changes once it is printed. Check the preview before you add it to your cart.
• Photo quality: the designer warns you if a photo is too small to print sharply at the size you have set. Phone photos are fine; screenshots and tiny thumbnails usually are not.
• Keep it yours: use your own photos and words. We can’t print celebrities, brand logos, sports crests or anyone else’s artwork.
• Want a matching set? Build the design once, add it to the cart, then change size or colour and add again for the group.
